Using Reports to Track Job Progress and Material Flow

This article explains how to use the reporting tools in ROMAC Production Control to monitor project progress, material status, and shop activity in real-time.


Accessing the Reports Menu

To open reports:

  • Go to Reports > Project Reports
  • Select a report type from the available categories:
    • SBOM Reports
    • Task Progress
    • Cutting List Summaries
    • Shipping Reports

SBOM Reports

Use these reports to:

  • Review total material by shape/spec
  • Track quantities by drawing or ship piece
  • View detail vs. shipping piece counts

Common options include:

  • Drawing Summary
  • Shape Code Totals
  • Weight by Spec or Drawing

Task Progress Reports

These reports show:

  • Completion status of Fit-Up, Paint, QC, etc.
  • Task checkmarks by piece or drawing
  • Aging reports for incomplete tasks

Filter by:

  • Task name
  • Project phase
  • Sequence or drawing

Cutting List and Nesting Reports

Key reports include:

  • Batch Summary (grouped by shape/spec)
  • Nested vs. Unnested Material
  • Drop and Remnant Reports

Use these to analyze cutting efficiency and prepare materials for staging.


Shipping and Ticket Reports

Includes:

  • Open vs. Delivered ticket summaries
  • Material by destination
  • Processor tracking

Useful for confirming outbound loads and resolving delivery discrepancies.


Exporting and Printing Reports

You can:

  • Print reports directly
  • Export to PDF or CSV for email or offline review
  • Schedule recurring reports if needed
