System Requirements and Installation for ROMAC Production Control

Minimum System Requirements

To run ROMAC Production Control reliably, your system must meet the following minimum specifications:

Operating System:

  • Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • Windows Server 2016 or later (for terminal server environments)

Hardware:

  • Processor: 1 GHz or faster (multi-core recommended)
  • Memory: Minimum 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended for multi-user environments)
  • Hard Drive: At least 500 MB of available disk space
  • Display: Minimum 1024 x 768 screen resolution
  • Network: Required for shared data access and multi-user setups

Installation Steps

Step 1: Obtain the Installer

  • ROMAC will provide you with a download link or physical installation media.
  • Save the installer to a local or shared drive accessible to the machine.

Step 2: Run the Installer

  1. Locate and double-click the setup.exe file.
  2. Follow the installation prompts:
  • Accept the License Agreement
  • Choose the destination folder (default is recommended)
  • Allow the setup to complete

Administrator rights are required to install the software.

Step 3: Initial Launch

  • After installation, launch the program from the Start Menu or Desktop shortcut.
  • The software will initially run in Evaluation Mode for up to 30 days.

Step 4: Activate the License

  1. Go to Help > Licenses > Activate License
  2. Enter your:
  • License ID
  • Software Options Code
  1. Click Activate to unlock full functionality

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If the installer fails to run: Right-click the file and choose “Run as Administrator.”
  • If the program won’t launch: Ensure antivirus software hasn’t blocked the executable.
  • For network users: Verify permissions to the shared data directory are properly set.
