The Romac Steel Bill of Material program is a full featured, economical software product to help expedite the processing of your steel bill of material projects. This versatile tool to improve the consistency, speed, accuracy, and detail of your material lists. The manual method of weight calculations, surface area calculations, sorting, and totaling are eliminated. Accurate weight units, surface area units, and weight totals are at your fingertips. Can be used as an aid in estimating, advance bill of material, cutting lists, or anytime a steel materials list is needed.

Data Entry

Data entry can be in US standard (imperial) or metric units. Report options allow you to list equivalent descriptions, dimensions, and weights in the alternative units method. Steel fabricating industry standard nomenclature and single key entry of fractions combine to simplify data entry.

User Changeable Material Database

A database of standard and specialty materials normally encountered on steel projects is maintained. The supplied database includes most items listed in the AISC Manual of Steel Construction along with their metric equivalents. Additionally, the user can update the database to include items unique to their operation. Aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloy material can be easily added.

Seamless Interface

Seamless interface with our Length Nesting and Plate Nesting utilities. No need to re-enter your material lists for nesting.

Surface area is calculated for applicable items.

Data import utility

Data import capabilities include import from other Romac Series 7 Bill of Material jobs and import of KISS format data. KISS formatted files can be generated by several steel detailing packages. Also, third party programs are available to convert bill of material from AutoCad drawings into the KISS format.
